One process. Eight steps.
Every study follows the same eight steps, whatever the device, use case or location. PEARL tracks each step, flags open items and assigns each task to the right person.
- The provider orders the test, or a patient comes in through a partner clinician.
- A clinician checks that the test is right and safe, and gets consent.
- A SmartBox goes to the clinic or the patient's home, with prep instructions.
- The patient swallows the capsule. The recorder captures the study.
- The study comes back, is uploaded and checked for completeness.
- AI creates a complementary pre-read view: AiSPEED™ for colon capsule studies, the manufacturer's AI for other capsule tests.
- A clinician evaluates the whole study, using the AI pre-read as an additional view, and validates the findings.
- The signed report goes to the ordering physician, then to the patient.

Before the clinician opens a study, AI creates a complementary pre-read view inside the GI Digital workflow. The clinician remains responsible for evaluating the whole study, using the AI findings as an additional view, and for signing the report. The AI does not make diagnostic decisions.
